MEET ALANA

Alana is a classically-trained Osteopathic Manual Practitioner with the highest standard of training in Canada. She has successfully completed a program consisting of no less than 4,400 hours of education at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy in Hamilton, Ontario. She is a certified member of OSTCAN Alberta and OOA.
Before becoming an osteopathic manual practitioner, Alana ran a herbal business and worked at a health food store in Ontario.

She was first introduced to osteopathy when her mother was severely injured and classical osteopathy eliminated a two year migraine and helped restore normal daily function. Alana's goal is to work with people to optimize their quality of life.

Alana draws from vast knowledge of functional anatomy, physiology, collective body mechanics, holistic health and thousands of hours of clinical practice to provide highly personalized care for each individual she works with. Her goal is to balance any asymmetries or restrictions in the body, and find the root cause of what is going on.
She has additional training in craniosacral therapy which she incorporates into treatment. Craniosacral therapy is a branch of osteopathy, developed by Dr. William Sutherland, D.O. and later John Upledger, D.O.

Alana has a deep appreciation for  mind-body-spirit connection and always has a number of educational books on the go at any given time. In her spare time she is studying, painting, gardening or exploring nature.
